There are moments in life that hold so much meaning. The times when you observe the culmination of hard work, dedication, and dreams coming to life. This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of capturing senior pictures for Jace Jersey Richardson, the incredible son of my dear friend, Heather Sherrill.
Jace is set to graduate in May 2025 from Texas Tech University’s prestigious Whitacre College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. His academic journey has been nothing short of impressive, maintaining a 3.74 GPA while attending TTU on a full-ride scholarship. His high school years at Ropes ISD were marked by exceptional achievements, including a remarkable ACT score that helped pave the way for his success at Tech.
Beyond the classroom, Jace’s college experience has been filled with opportunities that have shaped his future. One of the highlights of his academic career was spending the summer of 2024 interning in Rome, Italy, an incredible experience that broadened his perspective and refined his engineering skills. Now, as he looks ahead to life after graduation, he is actively seeking a mechanical engineering position while also preparing to further his education. Jace has recently been accepted into graduate school at TTU, where he will pursue a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, with the potential to continue toward a PhD.
Throughout this journey, watching Jace grow and accomplish so much has been an absolute joy. His dedication, intelligence, and drive are inspiring, and I have no doubt that his future holds nothing but success. I’m always cheering him on, and I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible young man he has become!
Of course, no Texas Tech-related event is complete without a little Red Raider basketball! During our session, the Texas Tech men’s basketball team was battling the Florida Gators in the Elite Eight, and we just had to pause and watch the final minute and a half of the game. It was an intense moment, and though Tech fought hard, losing by five points at the end was a tough way to go out. Still, the pride and passion of being a Red Raider never wavered!
Capturing these senior pictures wasn’t just about snapping photos but about freezing a moment in time, celebrating Jace’s achievements, and looking ahead to an incredibly bright future. Heather, thank you for letting me be a part of this special milestone for your family. These memories are ones I will cherish forever!
Here’s to Jace, his incredible journey, and the bright future ahead! Wreck ‘Em, always!
