“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Proverbs 16:9
Christian and Ashley wed on May 4, 2024, at Sabrina Cedars in Abilene, TX. It was a stormy spring day which made plans change, but all was beautiful in the presence of God and their witnesses! Their love was in the details. Everything was intentional and brought in a piece of their story. They shared personal vows with one another, a special first look, had their deceased dog’s collar around the bouquet, and each had special moments with their parents and siblings to share in this precious, lifechanging union. Observing their love, laughs, and joy was such a gift. It was an honor to be part of your special day! #Forricherorpoynor, you have got this!
Here’s more of their story:
HOW DID WE MEET: We met the none traditional way, online. LOL. However, little did we know we used to work for the same company and lived less than half a mile from each other. Our first date was on a Sunday afternoon so it was pretty casual with lots of conversations. Our second date, was more romantic and this is were we knew we “liked” each other. There was a man playing the titanic song on his flute for us standing in front of our table. It has been one of the sweetest and funniest memories. We went on several more dates weekly to get to know each other better. It was a blast! We really clicked and communication between us was easy. We learned quickly that we both were competitive people and really enjoyed a good challenge to see who could win.
THE PROPOSAL: The month of December was filled with many events from Christmas party’s, family Christmas’, a cruise vacation, and my Birthday. On December 18, 2023, we celebrated our “first” ever Christmas together just the two of us. He knew I didn’t want any anything big for our proposal. All I ask for was it to be personal between just us! After we opened all of our gifts, he said he had one more for my “Birthday” and he couldn’t wait to give it to me on the actual date. I truly had no idea because we both were in Christmas pajamas and I did NOT have my nails done! Haha. He wrapped the box in Christmas paper so while I was unwrapping it he got down on one knee. The second I saw the box I knew and was completely speechless. If anyone knows me, speechless is not something that EVER happens. I couldn’t even say YES out loud I was in so much in a hock and full of complete happiness. My heart was truly full and peace was finally present! Of course I said yes! We hugged and kissed of course then popped champagne.
I’m so excited for you two! Your story is just beginning! You have such a wonderful life ahead of you! Congratulations!
