Meet the Porter family, Alan, Keena, and Lila, age twelve. We have been friends for many years, and shooting their family session was an honor. I enjoyed the time to catch up and share laughs in the sunrise at my property in Dudley, TX.
Alan and Keena moved to Abilene from Alpharetta, GA to be near Alan’s parents. Alan was born in Dallas, grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA, and graduated from Abilene Christian University. Keena grew up in Collins MS, a small town in South Mississippi, and graduated from The University of Southern MS. Alan and Keena met in Atlanta GA. Alan worked in IT Financial Services management for 31 years and is currently pursuing a new business venture. Keena worked as Director of Sales and Marketing and franchise management for Marriott Hotels and later for LaQuinta Hotels. Also, she spent a few years working in fundraising for nonprofits. Keena is currently pursuing a real estate license, so be on the lookout for someone to call upon in the Abilene area!
Alan and Keena’s beautiful daughter, Lila, attends Abilene Christian School. She loves riding horses, taekwondo, reading, and is interested in volleyball. Lila’s dream is to be a barrel racer. Lila is the type of child, whatever she sets her mind on, she will strive to do it.
They are members of Oldham Lane Church of Christ. Love spending time with family, cooking, spending time in Colorado, on the lake, camping, biking, traveling anywhere, and are always in pursuit of the best BBQ in TX. They love supporting the community and volunteering as a family for local nonprofits.
