The Miller Family, Lubbock TX

Meet the Miller family, Dustin, Jessica, and Tinley (7 years old)! They are a local family that I have been blessed to get to know over the past few years!
Dustin grew up in Seagraves, Texas, and Jessica is from Healdsburg, California. They met livestock judging at Texas Tech where they both graduated. Dustin graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and Jessica has a degree in Agricultural Communications.
Dustin and Jessica bought the pecan orchard in Brownfield in 2003 and started farming. Dustin’s family was already in the pecan and farming business so this was perfect timing for them. Jessica’s family also farmed. Her grandparents had fruit orchards and walnut orchards. Jessica’s father is a retired agricultural banker, but they always had sheep too. Currently, Jessica’s family has wine grapes in the Alexander Valley of California. Dustin, Jessica, and Tinley farm, pecans, sheep, hay, and cotton, but also grow lots of different commodities depending on the year.
Tinley was born in 2013. She is seven and in second grade at All Saints Episcopal School. Tinley is full of joy and happiness.
The Miller’s feel so blessed to be able to do what they love for a living and that they live in a community where people support and help one another!
