Baby Jones is a GIRL – Gender Reveal Seminole, TX

Being part of Rhett and Baylee’s journey has been one of the most heartfelt experiences in my photography career. I remember the excitement of their engagement shoot, capturing their love as they started their life together. Then came their wedding—the heartfelt wedding inside the hospital room so their sweet nana could witness the union between two hearts becoming one, every moment filled with joy and emotion. I felt honored to capture those milestones for them.

The gender reveal, however, was something truly magical.

They had a cake made, and the reveal would be in the color hidden inside. They used clear glasses to dig into the cake and see what color appeared! With their eyes closed, hearts racing, and hands intertwined, they slowly opened their eyes to see the pink inside—their baby girl! The pure joy that radiated from them was palpable, and as I clicked the shutter, I felt like I was capturing a moment that would live forever.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, especially when Baylee’s sweet Nana came into the conversation. Before she passed, she somehow just knew—a grandmother’s intuition—that one day they would have a baby girl. She sewed a tiny pink onesie that Rhett and Baylee now cherish. To see it being part of their celebration, even though she’s no longer physically here, was deeply moving. It was as if she was watching over them, sharing in the joy of their growing family. Now, little Mary Jane Jones will carry a piece of her Nana by continuing her namesake and let everyone else know just how sweet and precious she was to all.

For me, as a photographer, these moments are what make my job more than just a profession—it’s a privilege. Rhett and Baylee have trusted me to document some of the most important moments of their lives, and each time I’m there with them, I feel like I’m more than just an observer; I’m a part of their story. From engagement to wedding, to baby announcement and now this gender reveal, it’s been a journey of love and life, and being the one to capture it means the world to me.

This gender reveal wasn’t just another milestone—it was the culmination of so many tender moments, family love, and the hope of what’s to come. I can’t wait to see what comes next for this beautiful family, and I am so grateful to be part of their journey every step of the way.
