Abilene High Senior Marissa
I have been honored to shoot many of Marissa’s most significant life moments, and this one was harder than the others. It is always exciting to see a truly admirable human grow up into a lovely lady that is ready to continue pursuing her dreams. However, the mother in me teared up watching her parents bask in her happiness, but also know this girl is leaving home to chase dreams! Cue the ugly cry…
Marissa has been captain of the gold rush drill team for two years and the sophomore lieutenant. She is in the National Honor’s Society and participated as a PAL for two years where she mentored children at Johnston and Lee Elementary. Marissa stays busy working on the prom committee and with all of her dance activities. She is a class demonstrator for Patty Harper Dance Studio where she has danced for fourteen years! This girl knows that hard work and determination get you places!
Marissa has been accepted to UNT, Texas State, and Baylor! She is trying out for the dance teams to determine her final choice. We all know I am rooting for the BEARS, but no matter what she chooses, she will excel!
