2020 Abilene High Senior Emma

Where do I even start with this young lady? I’ve known her since kindergarten, and she is one of the kindest and caring young ladies. I was truly honored to be asked to do this session. I worked with her mother, Susy, for years in Abilene, and Emma entered my classroom in 2011 as a little third grader. She was shy but made many friends. She was always there to help me and others. She was bright, happy, and an all-around outstanding student! 

Emma is graduating in the top 10% of her class with a 4.0 GPA. She participated in the National Honor Society, Key Club (public service program), FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), and as an athletic trainer throughout high school. She ensured the athletes remained healthy and assessed injuries. 

In the future, Emma plans to attend Tarleton State University. She will study kinesiology with a focus in athletic training. She plans to further her education and eventually earn a Ph.D. Her ultimate goal is to work with a professional sports team!

Emma’s personality includes being very caring, nurturing, and never saying no to anything. Her mom said unless it is cleaning or folding clothes! She loves having friends and loves others. She is obsessed with Chic-fil-a and knows that the gates of Heaven will have a basket of chicken on each side, spicy on one and original on the other! She loves to journal, planners, watching Disney channel, and Netflix when not school activities. 

Emma, I am so proud of you! I can’t wait to watch you grow into a beautiful woman and chase your dreams! You have accomplished so much and will continue! Thank you for allowing me to be part of this special memory for you! Many blessings to you!
