“Where there is love there is life.” ~Mahatma Gandhi
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Alaniz! Your wedding was an absolute dream! There was happiness and joy radiating from all! Your family and friends made me feel part of the family as well! I spent so much time with everyone behind the scenes, there was this overwhelming feeling of comfort, love, and happiness. The tears of joy shed in those quiet moments between parents and children, as well as family and friends celebrating their union, was one of the most sentimental feelings I have ever felt. Your relationship is built on God with the love of family and friends. There was nothing greater to experience when your two hearts became one!
Jonathan Alaniz is from Hereford, and Bella Gonzales is from El Paso. They both moved to Lubbock to attend their dream university, Texas Tech. They met while attending Texas Tech and that is when their love story began.
Jonathan graduated with a degree in history and coaching and is currently living his dream as a history teacher, football, basketball, and golf coach. Bella graduated with a degree in dance and English. She will be graduating in May with her Master’s in Dance Studies. She is working hard to become a future teacher and absolutely loves working with children!
Jonathan proposed on July 2nd of this year in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were on a dream vacation that became even more special when he proposed on the beach in Hawaii! How dreamy is that?! Their wedding is scheduled to take place on March 11, 2023! They love to dance around the house and cook together. Which was evident in the dancing throughout the night that ended with the Texas Tech fight song!
Jonathan and Bella wed at the St. Patrick Cathedral in El Paso, TX on March 11, 2023. Before God and their witnesses, they vowed to cherish one another, love, and hold each other for forever. Their excitement was contagious as the audience wept in joy seeing their lives begin together.
There was some extrodinarily special pieces of this wedding that I wanted to include in their story for all. Bella carried her grandma’s rosary with her boquet down the aisle. There was homemade salsa on the tables made with love from her Godmother. Her second grade students created a “Love is….” books for she and Coach A. Both are passionate about their calling as educators and the fact that her students had a place in their day, was beyond special.
One of their main priorities for the evening was ensuring everyone had a good time and danced the night away. Jonathan and Bella loved to dance and created a son glist that reflected the choices of almost every guest, so all enjoyed the celebration of love! The joy continued into the evening as the couple was introduced and shared their first dances. Jonathan and his mother danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts. Bella and her mother danced to a mix of Lizzo and Meghan Trainor’s “Mom.” Then, the lovely newlyweds shared their first dance to “Forever After All” by Kat and Alex. Their love, joy of life, and celebration were contagious as the reception continued throughout the evening!
Jonathan and Bella, I am beyond happy for you! Thank you for asking me to capture these beautiful memories from your love story! It was an absolute honor. I have watched you grow and prosper these last few years as educators, and I am proud of you two. From Bella teaching at my previous campus to Jonathan coaching my son, these two hold an extraordinary place in my heart. Many blessings to you in the future!
